Mangrove Reforestation for Sustainable Jewelry

Updated: Nov 1, 2023

The Regal Jewelry Family wishes you a Happy World Environment Day! Our company aims to be a sustainable jewelry manufacturer, who is conscious of the resources and energy consumed by our own production journey. To keep ourselves accountable to our environmental responsibility, we have adopted and implemented a green business strategy to reduce our own carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

A recent activity that contributes to environmental responsibility organized by Regal Jewelry is our mangrove planting eco-trip in Salak Village, Trat province in Thailand. This project aims to offset the carbon footprint from our jewelry production process. This mangrove planting project is a collaboration between Regal Jewelry, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Marine and Coastal Resources Office 1, Rolling Koncept Innovation Company Limited and the people in Salak Village.

Activities in this project include mangrove planting on a 16,000 sqm land, collecting waste, and building fish nurseries. Furthermore, this project will contribute to natural resources, including ocean and coastal environment conservation and recovery concepts. In the long run, the results of our trip will ensure that the natural resources in this area will be a healthy and sustainable nursery, ready for aquatic animals to inhabit.

As a testament to our environmental initiatives, Regal Jewelry has completed the Higg Index self-assessment, and has been awarded Thailand’s Green Industry certification. We are committed to continue implementing our green activities, for instance, our air filtering system, waste management system, and in-house water treatment facility to safely dispose of the chemicals used in or emitted from our production process. Regal Jewelry is also instilling sustainable habits within our company by initiating a general waste recycling program. We will continue to monitor and measure our carbon emissions in order to have accurate tangible data for future improvements.
