Green Business Practices
Regal Jewelry believes in the importance of protecting the environment by adopting a green business strategy. We acknowledge the resources and energy consumed for jewelry production, and we are constantly adjusting to reduce our environmental footprint each year through policies, actions, and tangible goals.
Our company has implemented a recycling program to sort our general waste, encourage recycling habits, and foster a green culture amongst the Regal Jewelry family. We also have an extensive waste management system and an in-house water treatment facility in place to ensure the safe disposal of the chemicals used in our production process. We balance out the acidity in our wastewater with an alkaline solution and add coagulants to separate the water from harmful chemicals and heavy metals. The treated water is tested to ensure that it qualifies for the Thai Industry Standard Laws before being released from our treatment pool. Our water samples are also regularly sent to a third-party laboratory to confirm our findings.
For our air quality, we have installed a Bag Filtering System to help filter out harmful particles and silver dust from our production facility. To confirm that our air quality meets the standard levels of environmental regulations, we measure the particulate matter in the air that we release from our manufacturing facility every six months.
Regal Jewelry uses the Higg Index to assess our production processes and to hold us accountable for our environmental footprint. Our environmental efforts have awarded us with Thailand’s Green Industry certification.
Environmental Projects
Other than the daily green practices in our company, Regal also organizes eco-trips to foster environmentally-friendly values within our team. One such trip is our reforestation expedition in the Petchburi area of Thailand in 2018. Another example is our mangrove planting project on a 16,000 sqm land in the province of Trat. We hope that our efforts in protecting the environment and replenishing our forests will produce a positive impact beyond our organization.
Carbon Footprint Project
Regal Jewelry have started measuring our Corporate Carbon Footprint in 2022 which allowed us to build short and long term plans to reduce our Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions. We are training our employees on energy saving habits, changing our machines to more energy efficient components, as well as implementing Solar Panels for renewable energy in our company.
